Dr. Sameh Al-Zubiedi is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the School of Pharmacy, University of Jordan and is the Founder and Acting Director of the University of Jordan Pharmacovigilance office. Sameh has contributed to several committees at Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) such as health hazard evaluation, drug registration renewal, medical devices, registration of generic drugs, and clinical studies committees. He was member of the national Pharmacovigilance and Adverse events following immunization (AEFI) with COVID-19 vaccine review committee in Jordan.
Dr Sameh is also a member of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISOP) Middle East Chapter Scientific committee and WHO Global Patient Safety Network. He is also collaborating with the Institute of Pharmacovigilance as an expert in the development of the Pharmacovigilance professional qualification framework. Furthermore, he is the current director of the international affairs unit (IAU) of the university of Jordan.
Dr. Al-Zubiedi holds a bachelor degree in pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), MSc in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow and a PhD in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the University of Liverpool.
