Dr. Sameh Al-Zubiedi is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the School of Pharmacy, University of Jordan and is the Founder and Acting Director of the University of Jordan Pharmacovigilance office. Sameh has contributed to several committees at Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) such as health hazard evaluation, drug registration renewal, medical devices, registration of generic drugs, and clinical studies committees. He was member of the national Pharmacovigilance and Adverse events following immunization (AEFI) with COVID-19 vaccine review committee in Jordan.
Dr Sameh is also a member of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISOP) Middle East Chapter Scientific committee and WHO Global Patient Safety Network. He is also collaborating with the Institute of Pharmacovigilance as an expert in the development of the Pharmacovigilance professional qualification framework. Furthermore, he is the current director of the international affairs unit (IAU) of the university of Jordan.
Dr. Al-Zubiedi holds a bachelor degree in pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), MSc in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Glasgow and a PhD in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from the University of Liverpool.
Dr Lobna Gharaibeh is the Head of Biopharmaceutics and Clinical Pharmacy department in Al-Ahliyyah Amman University, Jordan. She has MSc in Clinical Pharmacy and PhD in pharmacy. She obtained fellowship in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) in 2019 from University of California San Diego and Jordan University of Science and Technology. Additionally, in 2019 she graduated from the High Impact Cancer Research (HICR) Program from Harvard medical School (Boston, USA) with distinction. She received the best researcher of the scientific faculties award for the year 2023 from Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Jordan.
Dr Gharaibeh's research interests are in clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice, pharmacovigilance, and therapeutics. She has over 40 publications in peer reviewed journals and interested in pursuing research in different aspects of effective and safe use of drugs.
